The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Olgierd Walczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvio Socorro in the 3rd minute of play. Olgierd Walczak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Socorro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Benjamim Rollheiser got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Olgierd Walczak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvio Socorro, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Silvio Oxel made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç sent off a good shot on target. Olgierd Walczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Savas Romanidis in the 10th minute of the match. Savas Romanidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olgierd Walczak having to interfere. Ceferino Iraitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Hartlepool United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Rollheiser came free, but Silvio Oxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvio Oxel came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Fcion C.A.'s Benjamim Rollheiser. But to his dismay, Benjamim Rollheiser quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Silvio Oxel could save by the left post. 31 minutes into the match, Fcion C.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Savas Romanidis came free, but Olgierd Walczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Hartlepool United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when David Muñoz came free, but Silvio Oxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvio Oxel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Muñoz was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Hartlepool United F.C. got a freekick which was hit by 龙平翀. Silvio Oxel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Muñoz in the 55th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Hartlepool United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Rollheiser came free, but Silvio Oxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Freddy Asur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Muñoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Silvio Oxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Fcion C.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Iraitz came free, but Olgierd Walczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hartlepool United F.C. made a substitution. Evelio Handi replaced Freddy Asur. After 72 played minutes Fcion C.A. got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Santiago. After having played for 76 minutes, Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fcion C.A.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Oxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Hartlepool United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç came free, but Silvio Oxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damazy Kolba hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Silvio Oxel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hartlepool United F.C.'s Elvio Socorro got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fcion C.A. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 90th minute, Silverio Telo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Muñoz might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvio Oxel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Muñoz ran back to his position shaking his head. David Muñoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Hartlepool United F.C. getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Silverio Telo hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fcion C.A. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hartlepool United F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
