Florida Gulf Coast's attentive John James managed to snatch the ball when Eustaquio Gilabert made a throw-in in the 5th minute of the game. After 8 minutes, Lukáš Katačić made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Deportivo Mandiyu's Eulalio Bastian tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14th minute of the match, Oscar Neves got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luis Nardo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 16th minute Lukáš Katačić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Bastian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Mandiyu's Eulalio Bastian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukáš Katačić in the 20th minute of play. Luis Nardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhu Bin Kun in the 23rd minute of the match. Eulalio Bastian came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Florida Gulf Coast's Lukáš Katačić. But to his dismay, Lukáš Katačić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luis Nardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhu Bin Kun in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Florida Gulf Coast getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Nestor Inko hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goal looked a bit too open when Zhu Bin Kun came free, but Luis Nardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lukáš Katačić might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eulalio Bastian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lukáš Katačić ran back to his position shaking his head. Luis Nardo made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Zhu Bin Kun sent off a good shot on target. After 42 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Inko. In the 43rd minute, Zhu Bin Kun fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Eulalio Bastian came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Florida Gulf Coast's Sixto Bitxintxo. But to his dismay, Sixto Bitxintxo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lukáš Katačić was the one to do the kick off. A throw-in in the 51st minute of the game was made by Eustaquio Gilabert with Zhu Bin Kun as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 54th minute, Nestor Inko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lukáš Katačić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Mandiyu's Pipis Vattimos got a free kick in the 61st minute. Deportivo Mandiyu's Eulalio Bastian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukáš Katačić in the 65th minute of play. Eulalio Bastian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukáš Katačić in the 67th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Eulalio Bastian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steve Rogers. Florida Gulf Coast's Luis Nardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhu Bin Kun in the 78th minute of play. Lukáš Katačić's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eulalio Bastian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Deportivo Mandiyu made a substitution. Feliberto Eyague replaced Oscar Neves. Deportivo Mandiyu made a substitution. Chiquito Benítez replaced Zhu Bin Kun. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Mandiyu's Ðura Snob got a free kick in the 85th minute. Lukáš Katačić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Florida Gulf Coast could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Deportivo Mandiyu throughout the match.
