Spectators: 7135 (Terracing: 5353, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 141) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Homero Amaro started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Pernas Partidas FC's zone, Homero Amaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Casillas came out of the goal and Homero Amaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute, Vítor Bernardes made a precise shot to the right of Iker Casillas. Pernas Partidas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Pernas Partidas FC's Jorge Palma got a free kick in the 10th minute. Iker Casillas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Homero Amaro's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Cândido Lage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the Trancozelos defense, Rui Machado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cândido Lage. The Trancozelos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cândido Lage should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute, Pernas Partidas FC's Paulo Neves dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Cândido Lage stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rui Machado's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After 27 played minutes Trancozelos got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Bernardes. Germano Lousada's late challenge caught a Pernas Partidas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Germano Lousada helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pernas Partidas FC booed when Trancozelos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germano Lousada didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 30 minutes, Nivaldo Menezes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trancozelos and the Pernas Partidas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Trancozelos getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Nivaldo Menezes hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Trancozelos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! The score was 3-1 after a penalty in the 36th minute, where Pernas Partidas FC:s Paulo Matias tricked Trancozelos:s Cândido Lage with a difficult ball by the left post. 41 minutes into the match, Pernas Partidas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Homero Amaro came free, but Iker Casillas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cândido Lage made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Machado in the 43rd minute. Pernas Partidas FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paulo Matias in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rui Machado made a kick off. The supporters of Pernas Partidas FC booed when Trancozelos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute of the match Paulo Matias shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cândido Lage showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Paulo Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Trancozelos booed when Pernas Partidas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Palma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cândido Lage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Pernas Partidas FC's Rui Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 76 played minutes Trancozelos got a freekick which was hit by Cesário Pádua. Cândido Lage stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rui Machado's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Vítor Bernardes hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Cândido Lage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Neves in the 88th minute of play. After 92 played minutes Trancozelos got a freekick which was hit by Cesário Pádua. After 93 played minutes, Pernas Partidas FC's Paulo Matias shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cândido Lage came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pernas Partidas FC reached it. 95 minutes into the match, Rui Machado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cândido Lage. Trancozelos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rui Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1.
