Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Flamengo getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Rory Trimble hit a great ball. Mateo Romo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marlon Mumford went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Gomersal AFC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Archie Vine hit a great ball. Keith Ripley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Flamengo's Keith Ripley got a free kick in the 25th minute. Gomersal AFC's Mateo Romo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Smefeldt in the 27th minute of play. Hans Smefeldt hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Hans Smefeldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Mateo Romo made a huge save. With a little luck, Gomersal AFC's Mateo Romo got control of the ball when Rory Trimble tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Flamengo booed when Gomersal AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Husband didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flamengo's Keith Ripley couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 39th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gomersal AFC. Mateo Romo came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo's Hans Smefeldt. But to his dismay, Hans Smefeldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Hans Smefeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo's supporters rose to their feet, but Hans Smefeldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mateo Romo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 许俊鸿 made a kick off. Gavin Neill's late challenge caught a Flamengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavin Neill helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Gomersal AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gavin Neill. Mateo Romo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lopez Riopedre, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Gomersal AFC's 许俊鸿 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 柯誉海 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 67 minutes into the match, Hans Smefeldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mateo Romo. Gomersal AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hans Smefeldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Marlon Mumford recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Adam Tonkin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gomersal AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamengo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gomersal AFC's Glenn Taylor got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 79 minutes, William Husband mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gomersal AFC and the Flamengo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Gomersal AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Husband to maneuver through the defense. Hans Smefeldt scored 4-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateo Romo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 86 minutes into the game, Hans Smefeldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Mateo Romo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jude Taylor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 柯誉海 having to interfere. 柯誉海 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 许俊鸿, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 柯誉海 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 许俊鸿 in the 93rd minute of the match. Flamengo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
