Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tobiasz Karaszkiewicz to make the kick off. After 55 minutes, Archie Vine mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gomersal AFC and the Rawdon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rawdon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinaldo Varela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mateo Romo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernard Ginn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Mateo Romo made a huge save. Mateo Romo made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Reinaldo Varela sent off a good shot on target. The Gomersal AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rawdon FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
