An unexpectedly hard shot by Philip Duke in the 8th minute of play forced Garstang AFC's goalkeeper Ray Folwill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Garstang AFC's Ray Folwill got control of the ball when Andrew Wild tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ray Folwill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Bannister in the 17th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kenneth E. Sullivan got free with Ray Folwill in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute Ali Vedat Kabataş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Owen Hopker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Garstang AFC's Ali Vedat Kabataş nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Owen Hopker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Anselmo Spione received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Owen Hopker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ray Folwill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth E. Sullivan, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Ozzy Rouse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ali Vedat Kabataş might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Owen Hopker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ali Vedat Kabataş ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrew Wild got free with Ray Folwill in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Ryder in the 37th minute of play forced Garstang AFC's goalkeeper Ray Folwill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garstang AFC's Ray Folwill proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Garstang AFC from getting a goal against them. Intrusive Thoughts's Owen Hopker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Jewson in the 44th minute of play. The Intrusive Thoughts players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Garstang AFC were winning 0-2.

Ray Folwill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenneth E. Sullivan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Intrusive Thoughts's Owen Hopker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Vedat Kabataş in the 56th minute of play. Kris Jewson hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Intrusive Thoughts's Andrew Wild got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Steve Ryder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garstang AFC's attentive Anselmo Spione managed to snatch the ball when Adrian Garner made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. Anselmo Spione fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen Hopker having to interfere. Owen Hopker was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Golo Kante. Jim Bannister recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Intrusive Thoughts's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Anselmo Spione scored to the left of an out of position Owen Hopker, making the score, 0-4. After 93 minutes, Ali Vedat Kabataş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garstang AFC and the Intrusive Thoughts players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes Garstang AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ali Vedat Kabataş. After 94 played minutes, Intrusive Thoughts's Steve Ryder shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ray Folwill came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Intrusive Thoughts reached it. Steve Ryder scored 1-4 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ray Folwill, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Garstang AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
