In the 17th minute of the match, Alexander Holden tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Owen Hopker saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Intrusive Thoughts's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paul Willetts was slow to take the kick. During this time Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's players had a chance to rest. Willie Adams tried in the game's 19th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Owen Hopker. An annoying self made goal, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Alexander Holden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Holden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Owen Hopker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Andrew Wild's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kris Couch was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 35th match minute, Autocares Vázquez Olmedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierce Hurdle to maneuver through the defense. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfried Stekelenburg couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Intrusive Thoughts defense, Alexander Holden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Owen Hopker. The Intrusive Thoughts fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Owen Hopker should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Ash Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 played minutes Intrusive Thoughts got a freekick which was hit by Willie Adams. Intrusive Thoughts's Owen Hopker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfried Stekelenburg in the 65th minute of play. When Max Rider fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Intrusive Thoughts's protests and gave Max Rider a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Intrusive Thoughts got a freekick which was hit by Max Rider. After recieving a nice pass, Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's Paul Willetts tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the game, Wilfried Stekelenburg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Intrusive Thoughts the free kick. In the 72nd match minute, Autocares Vázquez Olmedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfried Stekelenburg to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Philip Duke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Intrusive Thoughts's Andrew Wild slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kris Couch. That made the score 2-1 after 77 minutes of play. The supporters of Autocares Vázquez Olmedo booed when Intrusive Thoughts was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Rider didn't get a good kick on the ball. Owen Hopker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kiera Archer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Alexander Holden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Holden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Owen Hopker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilfried Stekelenburg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen Hopker having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Intrusive Thoughts's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfried Stekelenburg came free, but Owen Hopker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's Alf Butterfield was substituted for Ash Taylor. After a rather tough play, Intrusive Thoughts's Steve Ryder got a free kick in the 96th minute.
