Spectators: 10926 (Terracing: 8196, Seating: 2512, VIP seats: 218) Skallagrimur's Uni Gunnarsson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marek Wielopolski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guðvin Skúlason in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 6th minute Filippus Þorsteinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eldór Hreiðarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bersi Aðalsteinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marek Wielopolski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álfgeir Hannibalsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guðvin Skúlason in the 9th minute of play forced Skallagrimur's goalkeeper Marek Wielopolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th match minute, Skallagrimur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leszek Zywiec to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filippus Þorsteinsson in the 14th minute of play forced Æsir Ásgarðr's goalkeeper Eldór Hreiðarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Eldór Hreiðarsson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 20th minute Álfgeir Hannibalsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marek Wielopolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Æsir Ásgarðr's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marel Ingimundarson in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute Timofey Melnikov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eldór Hreiðarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Skallagrimur's Cyryl Filanowski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eldór Hreiðarsson. That made the score 1-0 after 25 minutes of play. In the 28th minute Timofey Melnikov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eldór Hreiðarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Skallagrimur's goal looked a bit too open when Guðvin Skúlason came free, but Marek Wielopolski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Skallagrimur's Eldór Hreiðarsson threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Filippus Þorsteinsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 32 minutes into the match, Æsir Ásgarðr's goal looked a bit too open when Timofey Melnikov came free, but Eldór Hreiðarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eldór Hreiðarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Cârstea in the 38th minute of the match. Marek Wielopolski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álfgeir Hannibalsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Skallagrimur booed when Æsir Ásgarðr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guðvin Skúlason didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Æsir Ásgarðr's goal looked a bit too open when Cyryl Filanowski came free, but Eldór Hreiðarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marel Ingimundarson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. After 44 played minutes Æsir Ásgarðr got a freekick which was hit by Marel Ingimundarson. Skallagrimur's Þrastar Siggeirsson got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Álfgeir Hannibalsson was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uni Gunnarsson in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eldór Hreiðarsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eldór Hreiðarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filippus Þorsteinsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 59 minutes of play, Skallagrimur's Timofey Melnikov made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eldór Hreiðarsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Æsir Ásgarðr's Guðvin Skúlason got a free kick in the 66th minute. Skallagrimur's Júrek Benediktsson was substituted for Rövşän Røv. Guðvin Skúlason kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Æsir Ásgarðr's goal looked a bit too open when Filippus Þorsteinsson came free, but Eldór Hreiðarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute of the match Skallagrimur got a corner. Æsir Ásgarðr's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Þrastar Siggeirsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Guðvin Skúlason in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marek Wielopolski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álfgeir Hannibalsson in the 80th minute of play forced Skallagrimur's goalkeeper Marek Wielopolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filippus Þorsteinsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Æsir Ásgarðr's Eldór Hreiðarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timofey Melnikov in the 89th minute of play. Kristján Ófeigsson kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Skallagrimur walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
