When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gumi Theódórsson made a kick off. A collision led to Skellerup FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Æsir Ásgarðr's Arnviður Þorsteinsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Æsir Ásgarðr from getting a goal against them. Skellerup FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
