Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Boddibevve Matthews made the kick off and thus started the match. After 2 played minutes Ballydaly got a freekick which was hit by Royan Harkin. Douglas Ryan's late challenge caught a Fethard Suck! F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Douglas Ryan helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ballydaly fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! Ron McLian walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Teddy McWilliam was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Boddibevve Matthews capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Boddibevve Matthews really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boddibevve Matthews in the 21st minute of play forced Fethard Suck! F.C.'s goalkeeper Teddy McWilliam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teddy McWilliam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boddibevve Matthews, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Boddibevve Matthews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boddibevve Matthews in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teddy McWilliam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rory McLaughlin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bran Scully. Ballydaly's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Raonall Coyle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballydaly's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fethard Suck! F.C. the free kick. After 36 played minutes Ballydaly got a freekick which was hit by Raonall Coyle. Teddy McWilliam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boddibevve Matthews in the 39th minute of the match. Bedilia Delaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Bran Scully tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ballydaly's Bran Scully played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brennen John in the 41st minute of play. Bedilia Delaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Bran Scully tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brennen John in the 45th minute of play forced Ballydaly's goalkeeper Bran Scully to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Brennen John made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Fethard Suck! F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ron McLian to maneuver through the defense. Raonall Coyle hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Bedilia Delaney's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bran Scully read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. When Boddibevve Matthews came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Ballydaly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boddibevve Matthews couldn't finish the play. Breslin Dempsey hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute of the match Douglas Ryan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teddy McWilliam skillfully saved the ball. Boddibevve Matthews scored 2-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teddy McWilliam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brennen John in the 80th minute of play forced Ballydaly's goalkeeper Bran Scully to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th match minute, Fethard Suck! F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bedilia Delaney to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ballydaly's Raonall Coyle got a free kick in the 85th minute. Ron McLian hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Boddibevve Matthews received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Teddy McWilliam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ballydaly had won after a very even match.
