After a defensive mix-up in Archway's zone, Brandon Trunks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dominic Sheridan came out of the goal and Brandon Trunks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tom Prendergast received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Dominic Sheridan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Archway defense, Brandon Trunks kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dominic Sheridan. The Archway fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dominic Sheridan should have stopped the shot. Brandon Trunks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dominic Sheridan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rdth minute of the game Brandon Trunks who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Archway's Dominic Sheridan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dominic Sheridan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brandon Trunks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45thth minute of the game Tom Prendergast who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Archway's Dominic Sheridan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Welford were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Brandon Trunks came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dominic Sheridan could save by the left post. Dominic Sheridan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tom Prendergast's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Brandon Trunks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dominic Sheridan came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Welford's Brandon Trunks. But to his dismay, Brandon Trunks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. If Brandon Trunks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Welford's Tom Prendergast slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dominic Sheridan. That made the score 1-5 after 89 minutes of play. In the 93rd match minute, Welford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rich Beadle to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cody White in the 96th minute of play forced Welford's goalkeeper Scott Peyton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Welford left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Archway.
