Spectators: 7520 (Terracing: 5641, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kyle East took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Laindon FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Martyn Bullock hit a great ball. In the 7th minute of the match Jamie Price shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rufus Broadbent showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Martyn Bullock kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 10 minutes in the game, Jasper Emberson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rufus Broadbent having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Southampton fc's zone, Ralph Rutherford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Travis McAleer came out of the goal and Ralph Rutherford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute, Ralph Rutherford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ralph Rutherford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laindon FC's Kyle East got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kyle East took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Travis McAleer. Travis McAleer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Travis McAleer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralph Rutherford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Jasper Emberson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jasper Emberson made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Jasper Emberson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rufus Broadbent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brian Delaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Rufus Broadbent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Southampton fc's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ralph Rutherford fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 65 minutes into the game, Jasper Emberson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rufus Broadbent was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Laindon FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Alf Chandler hit a great ball. Travis McAleer made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Ralph Rutherford sent off a good shot on target. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
