Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sid Woolford took the kick off in the first half of the match. Fred Chapman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Adamson in the 3rd minute of the match. Guy Banks hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Sean Clarke was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Sid Woolford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Buster Ashton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Kristian Colman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. jimjam's Fred Chapman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurence Shakespeare in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Laurence Shakespeare cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fred Chapman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 25 minutes into the game, Keighley FC's Sebastian Revell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fred Chapman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Sean Clarke's late challenge caught a jimjam's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sean Clarke helped the player get up and apologised. After 30 played minutes Keighley FC got a freekick which was hit by Sean Clarke. After 34 minutes of play, Keighley FC's Sebastian Revell made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fred Chapman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sebastian Revell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Fred Chapman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Revell scored 0-4 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fred Chapman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 43rd minute Eric Adamson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Chapman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Sebastian Revell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fred Chapman. jimjam's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Revell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

In the 51st match minute, Keighley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurence Shakespeare to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeff Nailor during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Guy Banks lost his temper 60 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 60 minutes into the game, one of jimjam:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Kristian Colman managed to get in a good position for a shot. jimjam's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristian Colman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Buster Ashton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fred Chapman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Clare in the 69th minute of the match. Fred Chapman came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Keighley FC's Sebastian Revell. But to his dismay, Sebastian Revell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. In the 83rd minute, Laurence Shakespeare ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fred Chapman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Colman in the 88th minute of play forced Keighley FC's goalkeeper Buster Ashton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, jimjam's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Revell came free, but Fred Chapman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. jimjam's Fred Chapman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Clare in the 91st minute of play. Sid Woolford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Keighley FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Keighley FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
