The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vic Moxey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francis Ellerton's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Martin Kear fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kris Granville having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ajax Fans Club's Pete Taggart got a free kick in the 16th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Francis Ellerton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vic Moxey. Francis Ellerton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Ajax Fans Club's goal looked a bit too open when Rueben Greaves came free, but Kris Granville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Beinn Kearney fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Francis House fc's protests and gave Beinn Kearney a yellow card for diving instead. 27 minutes into the game, one of Francis House fc:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Martin Kear fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kris Granville having to interfere. Ajax Fans Club's Jeff Draper got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martin Kear received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Kris Granville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rueben Greaves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Martin Kear could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Kris Granville made a huge save. In the 53rd minute, Jeff Draper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 58 minutes, Jeff Draper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ajax Fans Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeff Draper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vic Moxey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeff Draper went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Vic Moxey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francis Ellerton in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Jeff Draper who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Francis House fc's Vic Moxey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kris Granville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rueben Greaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Francis House fc's goal looked a bit too open when Francis Ellerton came free, but Vic Moxey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francis Ellerton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vic Moxey having to interfere. Beinn Kearney kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Syd Downham took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vic Moxey. Francis House fc's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Francis House fc getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Carl Seabourne hit a great ball. Ajax Fans Club's Syd Downham couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Francis House fc. For all the effort they put into the match, the Francis House fc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ajax Fans Club.
