After 18 played minutes Ajax Fans Club got a freekick which was hit by Damian Boatman. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Jeff Draper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ajax Fans Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeff Draper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Buster Ashton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeff Draper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute Eric Adamson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kris Granville saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Revell to make the kick off. Jeff Draper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buster Ashton having to interfere. Eric Adamson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jim Burns charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jim Burns the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ajax Fans Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! 68 minutes into the game, Sean Clarke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Kris Granville was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Damian Boatman charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Felix Clare could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Kris Granville made a huge save. Jeff Draper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Buster Ashton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Adamson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Kris Granville made a huge save. Francis Ellerton succeeded in the game's 99th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2.
