Rod Langdon succeeded in the game's 5th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. 20 minutes into the game, Burton upon Trent FC's Rod Langdon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felix Blewett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Felix Blewett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Ferrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Chelsea F.C's Mick Sherman got a free kick in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rod Langdon in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felix Blewett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute Will Ferrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Blewett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rod Langdon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Blewett having to interfere. Antony Boston kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. If Antony Boston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Rod Langdon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burton upon Trent FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rod Langdon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felix Blewett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felix Blewett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rod Langdon's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Will Ferrell scored 0-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felix Blewett, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Burton upon Trent FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antony Boston made a kick off. Johnny Panther blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felix Blewett having to make a save. Felix Blewett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rod Langdon in the 79th minute of play. Chelsea F.C's Louie Hickson got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Danny Snowden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antony Boston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Burton upon Trent FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
