The audience was convinced that Bryan Dodd's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Quentin Renner was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Humphreys in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rowan Golding prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tristan Burns got free with Quentin Renner in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. London Athletic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bryan Dodd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Joey Rockett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, London Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Monk came free, but Rowan Golding reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Tristan Burns left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The London Athletic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. London Athletic were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Marmarisspor's much stronger midfield.
