Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 169) Sidney Doyle made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Kenny Dobson notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Kidderminster's Dane Clist. Dane Clist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Graeme Rice during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th minute, Graeme Rice hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dane Clist made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Kenny Dobson sent off a good shot on target. After 10 minutes of play, Hilsea's Ashley Driver made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dane Clist was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Kidderminster's Johnathon Seagrave got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute, Ashley Driver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Kidderminster's goalkeeper Dane Clist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ashley Driver. In the 22nd match minute, Kidderminster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dion Pollock to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Kenny Dobson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dane Clist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Christopher Gray had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dane Clist. Kidderminster's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christopher Gray was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 31 minutes into the game, Hilsea's Sidney Doyle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dane Clist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 37th minute, Ashley Driver made a precise shot to the right of Dane Clist. Kidderminster's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. In the 40th minute, Dennis Faulkner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John England was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Dane Clist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seth Sharples in the 43rd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Doug Armstrong was the one to do the kick off. With 51 minutes on the clock, Marc Nelthorpe commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Hilsea:s John England showed great skill when he stopped Glenn Jump:s penalty. 53 minutes into the game, Glenn Jump cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-2. John England was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Gray in the 58th minute of play forced Kidderminster's goalkeeper Dane Clist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dane Clist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Doyle in the 61st minute of play. With a little luck, Hilsea's John England got control of the ball when Doug Armstrong tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hilsea's Christopher Gray got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dane Clist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Doyle in the 65th minute of play. Dane Clist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christopher Gray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Sidney Doyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dane Clist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidney Doyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Dane Clist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Christopher Gray managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hilsea's supporters rose to their feet, but Christopher Gray was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dane Clist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dane Clist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Doyle in the 79th minute of play. Doug Armstrong struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. John England didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kidderminster. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidney Doyle in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dane Clist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dennis Faulkner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96thth minute of the game Sidney Doyle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kidderminster's Dane Clist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
