Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hilsea's Sidney Doyle started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Rory Downham who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kidderminster's Dane Clist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 7th minute, Louis Craven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kidderminster's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Glenn Jump in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Kidderminster's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Doyle came free, but Dane Clist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rory Downham took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dane Clist. Dane Clist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Kidderminster's goal looked a bit too open when Rory Downham came free, but Dane Clist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dane Clist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ashley Driver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kidderminster's Dane Clist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ashley Driver in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Johnathon Seagrave was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kidderminster's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hilsea the free kick. The supporters of Hilsea booed when Kidderminster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnathon Seagrave didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Seth Sharples managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hilsea's supporters rose to their feet, but Seth Sharples was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dane Clist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rory Downham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 28 minutes, Edward Crooks mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kidderminster and the Hilsea players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kenny Dobson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dane Clist. Kidderminster's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 33rd minute Ashley Driver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dane Clist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hilsea's Kenny Dobson got a free kick in the 34th minute. A hard shot 35 in the game by Doug Armstrong from a close distance when the talented John England managed to make a qualified save. Hilsea's players were relieved. With his leg John England managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Kidderminster's Doug Armstrong fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kenny Dobson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dane Clist. Kidderminster's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. John England made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Doug Armstrong sent off a good shot on target. Dane Clist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Doyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half Hilsea were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Doug Armstrong made a kick off. Sidney Doyle received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dane Clist came out and tried to block the shot, but Sidney Doyle slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 57th minute. Dane Clist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sidney Doyle in the 59th minute. Sidney Doyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dane Clist having to interfere. Dane Clist made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Ashley Driver sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th match minute, Kidderminster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnathon Seagrave to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Kidderminster's Dane Clist got control of the ball when Ashley Driver tried to sneak it across the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Rory Downham recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dane Clist. Rory Downham showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. 70 minutes into the game, Rory Downham cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Dane Clist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dane Clist came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Hilsea's Ashley Driver. But to his dismay, Ashley Driver quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. If Kenny Dobson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Rory Downham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John England stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doug Armstrong's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Kidderminster's Dane Clist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rory Downham in the 84th minute of play. Kenny Dobson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dane Clist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Sidney Doyle dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dane Clist, 0-8. In the 91st minute Sidney Doyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dane Clist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute Hilsea were awarded a corner. Kenny Dobson went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Kenny Dobson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dane Clist quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dane Clist was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Sidney Doyle capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sidney Doyle really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9.
