When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Nat Porter sped through Wadebridge's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andre Champion. After 14 minutes, Max Strickland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wadebridge and the Beckford players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Beckford booed when Wadebridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Strickland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nat Porter who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Andre Champion when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Syd Calder during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Beckford's Syd Calder got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 38 minutes into the match, Wadebridge's goalkeeper Andre Champion had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nat Porter. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ashley Hopker in the 39th minute of play forced Wadebridge's goalkeeper Andre Champion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nat Porter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nat Porter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Max Strickland got his second yellow card in the match during the 46th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Wadebridge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Nat Porter scored to the left of an out of position Andre Champion, making the score, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nat Porter made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harvey Gray during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes Wadebridge got a freekick which was hit by Harvey Gray. After a rather tough play, Beckford's Ashley Hopker got a free kick in the 57th minute. A collision led to Beckford getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Nat Porter hit a great ball. Reuben Reid acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 61st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Lance Robertson. Andre Champion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chaz Linkletter went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute, Ryan Barnfield ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andre Champion was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Nat Porter kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Richard Barraclough might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andre Champion. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andre Champion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryan Barnfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Ryan Barnfield came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Beckford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryan Barnfield couldn't finish the play. Beckford's Ryan Barnfield got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 92 minutes, Chaz Linkletter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beckford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chaz Linkletter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andre Champion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan Barnfield in the 97th minute of play. 99 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wadebridge's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chaz Linkletter was slow to take the kick. During this time Beckford's players had a chance to rest. Chaz Linkletter struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Andre Champion didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beckford. Nat Porter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 101st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andre Champion having to make a save. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Beckford had played much better football throughout.
