When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Lech Piglowski took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Philip Floyd to make any attempt to save it. If John-Paul Hoult had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Scott Sharp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stamatis Pavlakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Philip Floyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Buckingham AFC's Lech Piglowski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Philip Floyd. That made the score 3-0 after 17 minutes of play. Philip Floyd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lech Piglowski in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lech Piglowski got free with Philip Floyd in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute, Thom Douglas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Buckingham AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Speed came free, but Hu Fan Yi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 28 minutes on the clock, Keanu Tate commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Keanu Tate hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The attack was good, but when Jude Bowen in the 33rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. It was Joshua Mills who took care of the corner kick. 48 minutes into the game, one of Buckingham AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Kauto Stars a penalty, 51 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joshua Mills, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Buckingham AFC's Hu Fan Yi. 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jude Bowen to strike the kick off in the second half. Jude Bowen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Stamatis Pavlakos made a precise shot to the right of Philip Floyd. Kauto Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Stamatis Pavlakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Philip Floyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stamatis Pavlakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A very good chance for a goal. 64 minutes into the match, Buckingham AFC's goalkeeper Hu Fan Yi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl Speed. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philip Floyd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes into the match, Kauto Stars's Carl Speed sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hu Fan Yi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Carl Speed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Buckingham AFC's zone, Rodney Staple stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hu Fan Yi came out of the goal and Rodney Staple tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lech Piglowski took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Philip Floyd. Philip Floyd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Lech Piglowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Carl Speed's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hu Fan Yi was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Stuart Heywood managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kauto Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Stuart Heywood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hu Fan Yi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 96 played minutes Kauto Stars got a freekick which was hit by Trevor Bibby. Rex Ward's late challenge caught a Kauto Stars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rex Ward helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kauto Stars booed when Buckingham AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rex Ward didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Buckingham AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kauto Stars had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
