Manchester United F.C.'s Radomir Karbowski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gerard Costello in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Leicester Lions getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Sebastien Clifford hit a great ball. Leicester Lions's Gerard Costello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Leicester Lions from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute Radomir Karbowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerard Costello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Du Peng Xi in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexander Manninger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute, Radomir Karbowski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gerard Costello. The goal made the score 1-0. Benny White kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Gerard Costello acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 22nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Steven Black. In the 23rd minute, Severo Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chucky Gol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gerard Costello having to make a save. 25 minutes into the match, Leicester Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Chucky Gol came free, but Gerard Costello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Radomir Karbowski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gerard Costello. Radomir Karbowski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Leicester Lions:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Manchester United F.C.:s goal. The referee gave Manchester United F.C. a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Steven Black, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Leicester Lions's Gerard Costello. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Radomir Karbowski made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Leicester Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Radomir Karbowski came free, but Gerard Costello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Manchester United F.C.'s Alexander Manninger got control of the ball when Nuno Gaúcho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gerard Costello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomir Karbowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manchester United F.C.'s Stuart Legzdins was substituted for Chucky Gol. When Radomir Karbowski came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Manchester United F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radomir Karbowski couldn't finish the play. If Zdeněk Köhler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomir Karbowski in the 74th minute of play forced Leicester Lions's goalkeeper Gerard Costello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Alexander Manninger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerard Costello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomir Karbowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Radomir Karbowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leicester Lions made a substitution. Lucas Darling replaced Nuno Gaúcho. After having played for 92 minutes, Stuart Legzdins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester United F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Stuart Legzdins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zdeněk Köhler charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zdeněk Köhler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Zdeněk Köhler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Manchester United F.C. had played much better football throughout.
