Adam Lindberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Walter Ahlström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Reine Söder's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adam Lindberg was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. If Reine Söder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Walter Ahlström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adam Lindberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Palmkvist in the 20th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Reine Söder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adam Lindberg. Hammarby IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reine Söder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 37 played minutes Hammarby IF got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Söderqvist. Adam Lindberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Ahlström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Reine Söder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Hammarby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Reine Söder came free, but Adam Lindberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Arboga BF were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tony Wall stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Reine Söder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Reine Söder dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adam Lindberg, 0-4. With a little luck, Hammarby IF's Adam Lindberg got control of the ball when Reine Söder tried to sneak it across the goal line. Johnny Hansson hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute of the match, Hugo Ahlgren tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adam Lindberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Leonardo Ström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. John Hellström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Walter Ahlström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arboga BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Walter Ahlström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Lindberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adam Lindberg was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Reine Söder capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Reine Söder really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Hammarby IF's Adam Lindberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Ahlgren in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Wall in the 88th minute of play forced Arboga BF's goalkeeper John Hellström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Hammarby IF booed when Arboga BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Hybbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reine Söder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Adam Lindberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arboga BF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
