Spectators: 7559 (Terracing: 5670, Seating: 1738, VIP seats: 151) Claes Almqvist made the kick off and thus started the match. After 4 minutes, Jesper Felin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sernard FC and the Blyth Spartans players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Sernard FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesper Felin to maneuver through the defense. Kajetan Borucki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Karlberg having to interfere. Peter Karlberg came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Blyth Spartans's Claes Almqvist. But to his dismay, Claes Almqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Claes Almqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 minutes of play, Sernard FC's Viggo Hellbom made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Magnus Hedman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Peter Karlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claes Almqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Joseph Hedin hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Malte Almkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sernard FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Malte Almkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute Tim Andersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magnus Hedman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Claes Almqvist took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Peter Karlberg to make any attempt to save it. In the 40th minute Claes Almqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Karlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sernard FC booed when Blyth Spartans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Carlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

In the 52nd minute, Nestor Vedillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Magnus Hedman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Andersson in the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute Joseph Hedin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Karlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Blyth Spartans's Magnus Hedman got control of the ball when Viggo Hellbom tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st minute Claes Almqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Karlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Karlberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claes Almqvist went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. When Blyth Spartans's Laureano Cordera in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sernard FC's goalie prevented a goal. Saturnino Valente scored 4-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peter Karlberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Blyth Spartans's Xälil Qämbärov was substituted for Kajetan Borucki. Sernard FC's Peter Karlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Valente in the 77th minute of play. Peter Karlberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Saturnino Valente went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Peter Karlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute Laureano Cordera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Karlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Saturnino Valente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Peter Karlberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Blyth Spartans fully deserved thier win.
