Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 0) Sven-Ove Qvarnström made the kick off and thus started the match. Börje Johnsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimmie Skog read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. After 7 played minutes Österskär RK got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Nyman. Håkan Bergström's late challenge caught a Österskär RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Håkan Bergström helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Karlsborg getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Håkan Bergström hit a great ball. Österskär RK's Torbjörn Smed got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Börje Johnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jimmie Skog tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Börje Johnsson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Karlsborg's Jimmie Skog. Jimmie Skog was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Börje Johnsson came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Österskär RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börje Johnsson couldn't finish the play. Jarl Bruse who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Henry Göransson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Karlsborg's goal looked a bit too open when Torbjörn Smed came free, but Jimmie Skog reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Österskär RK's attentive Sigvard Hök managed to snatch the ball when Folke Bjursell made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. 32 minutes into the match, Stig-Ove Lundqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jimmie Skog. Karlsborg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stig-Ove Lundqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Henry Göransson made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Jarl Bruse sent off a good shot on target. In the 39th minute, Börje Johnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Österskär RK's Stig-Ove Lundqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Börje Johnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Börje Johnsson to strike the kick off in the second half. If Torbjörn Smed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Karlsborg's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Börje Johnsson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Österskär RK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 66th minute, Börje Johnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Börje Johnsson struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Jimmie Skog didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Österskär RK. Jimmie Skog took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Börje Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Börje Johnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Håkan Bergström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Allan Torstensson in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Karlsborg's Håkan Bergström. Österskär RK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
