With a couple of smart ball manuevers Svante Olofsson in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Levander saved IFK EMOU from getting behind. In the 43rdth minute of the game Svante Olofsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IFK EMOU's Thomas Levander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Jakob Alebom got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After a defensive mix-up in Youngboys FF's zone, Michael Smed stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hans Lundin came out of the goal and Michael Smed tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Andy Gustavsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in IFK EMOU reached it. After 82 minutes of play Youngboys FF's Åke Jonasson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. IFK EMOU's Thomas Levander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakob Alebom in the 95th minute of play. Hans Lundin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tord Kjellman in the 97th minute of the match. 101 minutes into the match, IFK EMOU's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Alebom came free, but Thomas Levander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
