Edmund Österberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Oskar Malmberg in the 6th minute of the match. When Egil Colin came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Stångby BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egil Colin couldn't finish the play. Paul Collin hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmund Danielsson in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nils-Erik Aleberg saved Surahammars IF from getting behind. In the 31st minute of the match, Edmund Danielsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nils-Erik Aleberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Edmund Danielsson did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Nils-Erik Aleberg 34 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Egil Colin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nils-Erik Aleberg, 2-0. Surahammars IF's Mathias Hedström suffered a sore thigh after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Surahammars IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Oskar Malmberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmund Österberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven-Oskar Malmberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Stångby BK! After 53 minutes of play, Surahammars IF's Wictor Cane made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmund Österberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 56th match minute, Surahammars IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uno Ennegren to maneuver through the defense. After 61 minutes, Adam Tolsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Surahammars IF and the Stångby BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Surahammars IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Stångby BK:s goal. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Stångby BK. Egil Colin stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nils-Erik Aleberg. 3-1. Nils-Erik Aleberg came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Stångby BK's Edmund Danielsson. But to his dismay, Edmund Danielsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 72 minutes into the match, Stångby BK's Edmund Danielsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nils-Erik Aleberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Egil Colin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Nils-Erik Aleberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Egil Colin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nils-Erik Aleberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. In the 92nd match minute, Surahammars IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by August Skager to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Dag Wennersten sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Surahammars IF's Nils-Erik Aleberg didn't even have to move. Paul Collin's late challenge caught a Stångby BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paul Collin helped the player get up and apologised. Stångby BK's Daniel Böcklund was substituted for Rasmus Hellström. A collision led to Surahammars IF getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Paul Collin hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Surahammars IF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Stångby BK.
