In the 3rd minute Alf Pettersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conny Viklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven Pihlwall didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ragnar Göransson went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Nicklas Sandbergs short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Conny Viklund to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sven Pihlwall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ragnar Göransson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ljungdalen getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Nicklas Sandberg hit a great ball. Sven Pihlwall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ragnar Göransson, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The corner led Shawshank Prisoners FC's Alexander Frisck to fire away a dangerous shot which Sven Pihlwall despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Shawshank Prisoners FC got a corner. Ljungdalen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexander Frisck ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Shawshank Prisoners FC's corner Alexander Frisck fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sven Pihlwall quite easily take care of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Malte Månsson during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Shawshank Prisoners FC made a substitution. Billy Björkkvist replaced Simon Vester. In the 24th match minute, Ljungdalen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Månsson to maneuver through the defense. Shawshank Prisoners FC's Alexander Frisck couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ljungdalen. A collision led to Ljungdalen getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Malte Månsson hit a great ball. Sven-Oskar Lindström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sven Pihlwall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Lagerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 minutes, Billy Björkkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shawshank Prisoners FC and the Ljungdalen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thor Heggert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Sven Pihlwall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ragnar Göransson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shawshank Prisoners FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ragnar Göransson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven Pihlwall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alf Pettersson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ragnar Göransson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 50th minute of the match, but Sven Pihlwall made a huge save. Ljungdalen's Sven Pihlwall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Ljungdalen from getting a goal against them. After 60 minutes Shawshank Prisoners FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Malte Månsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Ljungdalen's Billy Odén getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. A collision led to Shawshank Prisoners FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Petter Svensson hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the match, Ljungdalen's goalkeeper Sven Pihlwall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ragnar Göransson. In the 82nd minute, Sven-Oskar Lindström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Shawshank Prisoners FC's Sven-Oskar Lindström got a free kick in the 84th minute. Malte Månsson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 85th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 86 played minutes Ljungdalen got a freekick which was hit by Stig Nyman. The supporters of Ljungdalen booed when Shawshank Prisoners FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thor Heggert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Frisck hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shawshank Prisoners FC's goalkeeper Conny Viklund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ljungdalen's Nicklas Sandberg got a free kick in the 95th minute. Ragnar Göransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Sven Pihlwall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shawshank Prisoners FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
