When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Andy Skoglund sped through Lobster if's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ralf Mattsson. Ralf Mattsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Engman, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Ralf Mattsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andy Skoglund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ralf Mattsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by John Engman in the 53rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as John Engman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ralf Mattsson. That made the score 0-7 in the 53 minute of play. After 56 played minutes Lyckeby United got a freekick which was hit by Andy Skoglund. The supporters of Lobster if booed when Lyckeby United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andy Skoglund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Lobster if's goalkeeper Ralf Mattsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 67th minute, John Engman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If John Engman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lyckeby United's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Engman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ralf Mattsson made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when John Engman sent off a good shot on target. Lyckeby United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
