Roger Sandberg made in the 21st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sten Berggren. 22 minutes into the match, Segmon IF's Bror Vennerberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stig-Arne Björkman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Segmon IF's Robert Dubiel got a free kick in the 30th minute. Stig-Arne Björkman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Dubiel in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Segmon IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Deckberg to maneuver through the defense. Stig-Arne Björkman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Dubiel's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. After 45 minutes, Emil Västlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blomstermåla IF and the Segmon IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robert Dubiel made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Robert Dubiel made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Blomstermåla IF's Stig-Arne Björkman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernt Ström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Bertil Nordal in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Segmon IF's Börje Finnman. If Bernt Ström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
