Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Karen FC's Ryszard Brak started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jack Ekblom got free with Olov Dahlkvist in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anfield Road's Arne Arvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryszard Brak in the 4th minute of play. Olov Dahlkvist was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jan-Ove Andersson. Jack Ekbloms short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Olov Dahlkvist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Anfield Road getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Edwin Lindgren hit a great ball. Arne Arvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryszard Brak in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Lino Tonio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Olov Dahlkvist. Lino Tonio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a little luck, Karen FC's Olov Dahlkvist got control of the ball when Jack Ekblom tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Karen FC's Kiprijan Vučurević got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 25 minutes into the game, when Jan-Ove Andersson put in a rough tackle. 24 minutes into the game, one of Anfield Road:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Oskar Sandell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Karen FC's goalkeeper Olov Dahlkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jack Ekblom. After a rather tough play, Anfield Road's Roger Abrahamsson got a free kick in the 35th minute. Arne Arvidsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryszard Brak, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 43 played minutes Anfield Road got a freekick which was hit by Karl Lundberg. Arne Arvidsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oskar Sandell in the 44th minute of the match. After having played for 46 minutes, Edwin Lindgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anfield Road's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwin Lindgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Karen FC booed when Anfield Road was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Ekblom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jack Ekblom made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Nils-Emil Klack hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ryszard Brak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arne Arvidsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Ryszard Brak didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-3 via right post in the game's 57th minute. Karen FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 60th minute, Jack Ekblom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jack Ekblom took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olov Dahlkvist. Olov Dahlkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Karen FC made a substitution. Anders Törnqvist replaced Emil Lindmark. Edwin Lindgren struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Olov Dahlkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anfield Road. When Edwin Lindgren fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Anfield Road's protests and gave Edwin Lindgren a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Karen FC booed when Anfield Road was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Lindgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edwin Lindgren hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Olov Dahlkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Ekblom, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Bertil Thangshøj charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bertil Thangshøj the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arvid Springfält could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Arne Arvidsson made a huge save. When the match was over Karen FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Anfield Road throughout the match.
