Hannes Strömbom started the match with the kick off. When Anfield Road's Lino Tonio in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FK Crvena Zvezda's goalie prevented a goal. Jack Ekblom succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 7th playminute. In the 10th minute, Karl-Oskar Tidéksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jack Ekblom came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Patrik Almqvist could save by the left post. In the 20thth minute of the game Lino Tonio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FK Crvena Zvezda's Patrik Almqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lino Tonio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Patrik Almqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Edwin Lindgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrik Almqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rune Bock kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Anfield Road's Hubert Hammarbäck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrik Almqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Lino Tonio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Patrik Almqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Patrik Almqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Lundberg in the 31st minute of the match. Jack Ekblom's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Patrik Almqvist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 33 minutes, Klas Skytt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Crvena Zvezda and the Anfield Road players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FK Crvena Zvezda's Klas Skytt got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34thth minute of the game Lino Tonio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FK Crvena Zvezda's Patrik Almqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, FK Crvena Zvezda's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Lundberg came free, but Patrik Almqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrik Almqvist was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Aleksander Gerlach capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aleksander Gerlach really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Patrik Almqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Tonio in the 47th minute of play. Jack Ekblom who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Patrik Almqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lino Tonio to strike the kick off in the second half. Patrik Almqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Tonio, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If Lino Tonio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Anfield Road's Lino Tonio in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edwin Lindgren in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrik Almqvist saved FK Crvena Zvezda from getting behind. Edwin Lindgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the game, Edwin Lindgren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Patrik Almqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Karl Lundberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anfield Road's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Lundberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrik Almqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Lino Tonio came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Anfield Road fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lino Tonio couldn't finish the play. Patrik Almqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Ekblom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82ndth minute of the game Jack Ekblom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FK Crvena Zvezda's Patrik Almqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jack Ekblom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Anfield Road fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Anfield Road's Mattias Snell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jack Ekblom scored 8-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrik Almqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
