A collision led to Schwinet getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Jonas Grytten hit a great ball. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Schwinet! The goalkeeper, Kenneth Ueland, was totally fooled by Karnes IL's Daniel Tande, who 9 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Kenneth Ueland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arvid Lindstrøm in the 12th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Schwinet's Thor Molund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andreas Høyvik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Kenneth Ueland made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Erland Aurstad sent off a good shot on target. Arvid Lindstrøm struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Kenneth Ueland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karnes IL. Kenneth Ueland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erland Aurstad in the 30th minute. In the 42nd minute, Ludvik Reksten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andreas Høyvik was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 46 played minutes Schwinet got a freekick which was hit by Mikael Rognan. After the first half Schwinet were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thor Molund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Ludvik Reksten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schwinet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludvik Reksten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kenneth Ueland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jørn Abrahamsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Schwinet's Ole-Gunnar Leirdal managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Daniel Tande in the 60 minute of the game. Ole-Gunnar Leirdal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Andreas Høyvik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Schwinet's Kenneth Ueland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arvid Lindstrøm in the 65th minute of play. Kenneth Ueland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erland Aurstad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tor-Andre Ottem fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karnes IL's protests and gave Tor-Andre Ottem a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Karnes IL got a freekick which was hit by Tor-Andre Ottem. The corner led to Schwinet's Stig Anthonsen getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Thor Molund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andreas Høyvik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Schwinet's Kenneth Ueland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jørn Abrahamsen in the 80th minute of play. Andreas Høyvik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cai Hildrum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thor Molund in the 88th minute of play forced Karnes IL's goalkeeper Andreas Høyvik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andreas Høyvik was a little too slow when Cai Hildrum got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 1-4. In the 96thth minute of the game Ludvik Reksten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karnes IL's Andreas Høyvik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Schwinet played a much better game than Karnes IL and deserved their victory. The Karnes IL players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
