In the 8th minute, Joar Hebnes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kristian Grønn succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 15th minute Kristian Grønn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Høyvik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Kristian Grønn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Godtogblanda's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristian Grønn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andreas Høyvik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gjermund Buvarp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Godtogblanda's goalkeeper Erland Ryeng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arvid Lindstrøm. Andreas Høyvik came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Godtogblanda's Joar Hebnes. But to his dismay, Joar Hebnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 33rd minute, Arvid Lindstrøm made a precise shot to the right of Erland Ryeng. Godtogblanda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Erland Aurstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erland Aurstad came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Erland Ryeng could save by the left post. Godtogblanda were furious when Sverre Trana was red carded, 47 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 48th minute, Sverre Trana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Daniel Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karnes IL's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Tande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erland Ryeng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joar Hebnes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Godtogblanda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Grønn to maneuver through the defense. Jørn Wergeland struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Andreas Høyvik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Godtogblanda. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joar Hebnes got free with Andreas Høyvik in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 66 minutes into the game, Erland Aurstad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Erland Ryeng was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 70 minutes, Halvard Jansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Godtogblanda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Halvard Jansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karnes IL's Erland Aurstad got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot by Ole-Martin Schou from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Andreas Høyvik's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joar Hebnes got free with Andreas Høyvik in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Godtogblanda's Sebastian Røsand got a free kick in the 88th minute. A hard shot 92 in the game by Joar Hebnes from a close distance when the talented Andreas Høyvik managed to make a qualified save. Karnes IL's players were relieved. In the 93rd minute, Joar Hebnes made a precise shot to the right of Andreas Høyvik. Karnes IL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Godtogblanda had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
