An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Sødal in the 39th minute of play forced Iraki's goalkeeper Ståle Nyvold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Moan made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Lino Pueblo sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Diavoli Rossoneri's Victor Moan got control of the ball when Lino Pueblo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rodrigo Araújo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Victor Moan made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Ståle Nyvold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Davidsen in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Diavoli Rossoneri getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Victor Moan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iraki's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
