Helge Davidsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Erik Rystad made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Diavoli Rossoneri's Erik Rystad threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Martin Valderhaug, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Erik Rystad made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Helge Davidsen sent off a good shot on target. Martin Valderhaug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Erik Rystad managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Diavoli Rossoneri's Helge Davidsen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Dæff FK's Sivert Tandberg got a free kick in the 24th minute. Martin Valderhaug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Rystad having to interfere. Diavoli Rossoneri's Martin Valderhaug got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erik Rystad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Valderhaug in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Dæff FK's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Valderhaug came free, but Erik Rystad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Valderhaug received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Erik Rystad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Dæff FK's goalkeeper Erik Rystad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Helge Davidsen. Erik Rystad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Valderhaug in the 41st minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Helge Davidsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dæff FK's Erik Rystad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Valderhaug in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Martin Valderhaug ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erik Rystad was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Bjørn Granheim walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 64th minute, Helge Davidsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Helge Davidsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Rystad having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Valderhaug in the 69th minute of play forced Dæff FK's goalkeeper Erik Rystad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Helge Davidsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Erik Rystad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Martin Valderhaug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Dæff FK's Espen Normann got a free kick in the 79th minute. Martin Valderhaug received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Erik Rystad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Dæff FK getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Espen Normann hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dæff FK's zone, Helge Davidsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Rystad came out of the goal and Helge Davidsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th match minute, Dæff FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sivert Tandberg to maneuver through the defense. After 96 played minutes, Diavoli Rossoneri's Bjørn Granheim shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erik Rystad came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Diavoli Rossoneri reached it. Diavoli Rossoneri's Helge Davidsen got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Diavoli Rossoneri were the better team. Diavoli Rossoneri's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
