After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Kåre Ludviksen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dæff FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kåre Ludviksen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zbyszko Oborski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erik Rystad didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Josef Kielland went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Egil Bekkevold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kåre Ludviksen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zbyszko Oborski having to make a save. Bent Skagen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Josef Kielland shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 22 minutes into the match, Dæff FK's goal looked a bit too open when Josef Kielland came free, but Erik Rystad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kåre Ludviksen in the 27th minute of play forced TsF Rognan's goalkeeper Zbyszko Oborski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Egil Bekkevold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josef Kielland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Rystad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. If Josef Kielland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Dæff FK booed when TsF Rognan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eilif Fjeldberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Dæff FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. TsF Rognan were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Josef Kielland to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Dæff FK's zone, Josef Kielland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Rystad came out of the goal and Josef Kielland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erik Rystad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josef Kielland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kåre Ludviksen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyszko Oborski having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Josef Kielland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frederick Velkeneers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Josef Kielland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Erik Rystad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. TsF Rognan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Dæff FK's Erik Rystad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josef Kielland in the 86th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eilif Fjeldberg got free with Erik Rystad in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bent Skagen in the 92nd minute of play forced Dæff FK's goalkeeper Erik Rystad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zbyszko Oborski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kåre Ludviksen, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
