The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Club Real Cochabamba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Øyvind Molvær to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the game, Severin Storås cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ivar Opland was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ivar Opland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Morten Tømmervik in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of Club Real Cochabamba booed when Svalstog BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Bratli didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Niki Surbakti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severin Storås sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Club Real Cochabamba's Roald Førre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivar Opland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th minute Knut Ødegården shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Kjelstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roald Førre charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roald Førre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Roald Førre didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Club Real Cochabamba's goalkeeper Martin Kjelstad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per Kielland. Ivar Opland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severin Storås in the 35th minute of the match. If Morten Tømmervik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Morten Tømmervik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Svalstog BK's goalkeeper Ivar Opland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Severin Storås struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Ivar Opland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Real Cochabamba. Ivar Opland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Morten Tømmervik, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Ivar Opland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niki Surbakti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bjarne Falck to strike the kick off in the second half. Niki Surbakti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Morten Tømmerviks short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Ivar Opland to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Morten Tømmervik scored 0-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivar Opland, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severin Storås in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivar Opland saved Svalstog BK from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Svalstog BK's zone, Severin Storås stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivar Opland came out of the goal and Severin Storås tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute, Bjarne Falck made a precise shot to the right of Martin Kjelstad. Club Real Cochabamba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ivar Opland came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Real Cochabamba's Morten Tømmervik. But to his dismay, Morten Tømmervik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Niki Surbakti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Severin Storås fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivar Opland having to interfere. In the 80thth minute of the game Niki Surbakti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Svalstog BK's Ivar Opland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Club Real Cochabamba booed when Svalstog BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Knut Ødegården didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niki Surbakti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivar Opland having to interfere. Roger Hammervold succeeded in the game's 85th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-3. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Real Cochabamba! The referee gave Svalstog BK a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Max Leira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Club Real Cochabamba's Martin Kjelstad. 3-3. Despite being the better team, Club Real Cochabamba failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
