Barney Mayall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor's Nils-Johan Jevne got a free kick in the 10th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Svalstog BK's Max Leira tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Felix Rynning hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Are Røberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bjarne Falck in the 13th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Barney Mayall got free with Ivar Opland in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After taking down the ball on Trabzonspor's corner Barney Mayall fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ivar Opland quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Svalstog BK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Thomas Bratli hit a great ball. A hard shot 20 in the game by Barney Mayall from a close distance when the talented Ivar Opland managed to make a qualified save. Svalstog BK's players were relieved. Roger Hammervold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Are Røberg having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Anders Hjørnevik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Trabzonspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 26th minute, Trabzonspor's Barney Mayall ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ivar Opland. Ivar Opland yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After having played for 29 minutes, Birger Klette managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trabzonspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Birger Klette was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the last second Ivar Opland throw himself and got hold of the ball when Barney Mayall in the 32ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 35 minutes into the match, Bjarne Falck notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Trabzonspor's Are Røberg. Are Røberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 47thth minute of the game Barney Mayall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Svalstog BK's Ivar Opland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Barney Mayall got free with Ivar Opland in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Barney Mayall made the kick off in the second half. Ivar Opland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anders Hjørnevik, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Barney Mayall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trabzonspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barney Mayall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Svalstog BK's Roger Hammervold got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67thth minute of the game Barney Mayall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Svalstog BK's Ivar Opland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Birger Klette managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trabzonspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Birger Klette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivar Opland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felix Rynning hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Felix Rynning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Knut Ødegården hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. If Anders Hjørnevik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barney Mayall in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivar Opland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Per Kielland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Are Røberg made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birger Klette in the 89th minute of play forced Svalstog BK's goalkeeper Ivar Opland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor's Felix Rynning got a free kick in the 90th minute.
