In the 4th minute, Jarle Devik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geir Ryan in the 7th minute of play forced Viva La Vestby's goalkeeper Morten Ørmen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geir Ryan in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Morten Ørmen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jarle Devik kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Frogner in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ole-Petter Koch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jarle Devik during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Viva La Vestby booed when Ophus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarle Devik didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Mats Brunstad fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viva La Vestby's protests and gave Mats Brunstad a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd match minute, Viva La Vestby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Brunstad to maneuver through the defense. 1-0 became the score in the 23rd minute when Geir Ryan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Morten Ørmen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geir Ryan went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute, Ophus's Geir Ryan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Morten Ørmen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geir Ryan in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Geir Ryan made a precise shot to the right of Morten Ørmen. Viva La Vestby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After 44 minutes Viva La Vestby's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Krister Opheim who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Krister Opheim got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Morten Ørmen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geir Ryan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Johan Haveland shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Ole-Petter Koch made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Petter Saue sent off a good shot on target. After 63 minutes of play, Ophus's Geir Ryan made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Morten Ørmen was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, Geir Ryan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Morten Ørmen. Viva La Vestby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geir Ryan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. After 70 minutes, Cent Årvik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ophus and the Viva La Vestby players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Geir Ryan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ophus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Morten Ørmen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Ophus's Henrik Kvalnes got a free kick in the 84th minute. Morten Ørmen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrik Kvalnes in the 91st minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Geir Ryan notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Viva La Vestby's Morten Ørmen. Morten Ørmen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Morten Ørmen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cent Årvik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ophus had played much better football throughout.
