The audience was convinced that Harald Ekelund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Björn Borg was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Edvard Myller helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd match minute, Skrellen Kings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Myller to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harald Ekelund in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The ball had pretty good speed, but Björn Borg firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sivert Espeseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ole-Kristian Svendsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Magne Borgen made in the 55th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Holstad's Linus Naustdal. Harald Ekelund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 57 minutes, Thomas Østlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holstad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Østlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st minute, Henning Vindenes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Björn Borg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Kjartan Grøterud who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Björn Borg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Holstad's Sivert Espeseth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magne Tomter in the 69th minute of play. After 72 minutes, Christoffer Skjerven mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Holstad and the Skrellen Kings players grew even worse after the yellow card. William Tysnes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Skrellen Kings's William Tysnes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sivert Espeseth in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sivert Espeseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magne Tomter, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 91 minutes into the game, when August Oppedal put in a rough tackle. In the 91st minute, one of Holstad:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Holstad.
