The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Through an outstanding action, after 3 minutes, Rafael Heijer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 7 minutes into the match, Luc Pinksteren notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Netersel's Stijn Sligter. Stijn Sligter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luc Pinksteren took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stijn Sligter. Stijn Sligter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 18th minute, Vincent Eulen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Luc Pinksteren fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Troepmannen's protests and gave Luc Pinksteren a yellow card for diving instead. Luc Pinksteren hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Stijn Sligter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Ponk in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vincent Eulen got free with Rafael Heijer in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th match minute, Troepmannen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Ponk to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Troepmannen's Rafael Heijer got control of the ball when Vincent Eulen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Netersel's Pierre Klaasens got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Pierre Klaasens got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.

The wind increased when Luc Pinksteren made the kick off in the second half. Rafael Heijer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Klaasens in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Troepmannen defense, Pierre Klaasens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafael Heijer. The Troepmannen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafael Heijer should have stopped the shot. Carsten Ommen charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carsten Ommen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Troepmannen! Troepmannen's Luc Pinksteren got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ryan Roelofs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Tonnie Zoethout hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luc Pinksteren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Carsten Ommen was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 79 minutes had been played. 79 minutes into the game, one of Troepmannen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After having played for 88 minutes, Ryan Roelofs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Troepmannen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ryan Roelofs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stijn Sligter was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ryan Roelofs showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 93 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Netersel's Vincent Eulen got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the match was over Troepmannen could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Netersel throughout the match.
