The supporters of Wings on Ice booed when Dongenvaart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Toto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute Gert Jan Sligter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacco Popken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dongenvaart's Ingvar Bållström got a free kick in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the game, 孟文誉 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jacco Popken was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jacco Popken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stijn Spijker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Toto in the 28th minute of play forced Wings on Ice's goalkeeper Jacco Popken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacco Popken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georginio Wijnaldum in the 36th minute of the match. Jacco Popken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Toto, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Jacco Popken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 孟文誉, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 孟文誉 made a kick off. Jacco Popken didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 51st minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. If 孟文誉 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wings on Ice's Jacco Popken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georginio Wijnaldum in the 59th minute of play. Jacco Popken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stijn Spijker in the 61st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stijn Spijker in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacco Popken prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 69 played minutes Wings on Ice got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Klooster. With a little luck, Wings on Ice's Jacco Popken got control of the ball when 孟文誉 tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacco Popken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stijn Spijker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dirk Oosterbaan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ingvar Bållström took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacco Popken. Jacco Popken dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Stijn Spijker took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Jacco Popken to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Wings on Ice's zone, Stijn Spijker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacco Popken came out of the goal and Stijn Spijker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 92 minutes Wings on Ice's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Georginio Wijnaldum who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Dongenvaart booed when Wings on Ice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cor Klaassen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 孟文誉 struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Jacco Popken didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dongenvaart. The Wings on Ice fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dongenvaart were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
