The supporters of DE JONGE TIJGERS booed when FC Derks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico-Jan Mülder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robin Van Peel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tonny Rijkaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Menno Aukes charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Klaas Sybering's late challenge caught a DE JONGE TIJGERS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klaas Sybering helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes FC Derks got a freekick which was hit by Klaas Sybering. After 30 minutes FC Derks's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mart van Zeist who took care of the corner kick. Bram Middel got in the 33rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Robin Van Peel handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, FC Derks's goal looked a bit too open when Tonny Rijkaard came free, but Robin Van Peel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bram Daniels in the 36th minute of play forced FC Derks's goalkeeper Robin Van Peel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robin Van Peel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bram Daniels's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Derks's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mart van Zeist was slow to take the kick. During this time DE JONGE TIJGERS's players had a chance to rest. After the first half DE JONGE TIJGERS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nico-Jan Mülder made a kick off. Bram Middel struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Bram Daniels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bram Middel in the 69th minute of play forced FC Derks's goalkeeper Robin Van Peel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Tonny Rijkaard reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Robin Van Peel. The goal made the score 0-3. Kristof Geitz hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Bram Danielss short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Robin Van Peel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 83rd minute Bram Middel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Van Peel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 90 minutes, Bram Daniels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DE JONGE TIJGERS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bram Daniels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bram Daniels's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robin Van Peel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Robin Van Peel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bram Middel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over DE JONGE TIJGERS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Derks throughout the match.
