Spectators: 9385 (Terracing: 7041, Seating: 2158, VIP seats: 186) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nick Heesen took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute of the game Mike Westerink made a throw-in which Wilco Heida played forward. After a rather tough play, Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen got a free kick in the 4th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nick Heesen in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan de Boer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nick Heesen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nick Heesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jan de Boer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Heesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Arnold Pool shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Hagberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan de Boer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Sons of Strategy's Jan de Boer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joep Ponk in the 26th minute of play. Ágætis Byrjun's Georg Hagberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Ágætis Byrjun from getting a goal against them. Jan de Boer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Heesen in the 33rd minute of play. Jan de Boer went to the wrong direction when Joep Ponk was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Sons of Strategy's Jan de Boer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Heesen in the 44th minute of play. Nick Heesen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan de Boer having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Heesen in the 46th minute of play forced Sons of Strategy's goalkeeper Jan de Boer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Henk van Zwieten made the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Jan de Boer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 54 minutes into the match, Sons of Strategy's goalkeeper Jan de Boer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nick Heesen. Ágætis Byrjun's attack was well implemented in the 54th minute, but when Nick Heesen was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. With a little luck, Sons of Strategy's Jan de Boer got control of the ball when Nick Heesen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Georg Hagberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnold Pool, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hendrik-Jan Kuijpers replaced Gert van den Bergh. In the 65th minute, Mike Westerink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jan de Boer. That made the score 0-2 after 66 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk van Zwieten in the 69th minute of play forced Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper Georg Hagberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan de Boer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ditlev Delmont in the 71st minute of play. Sons of Strategy's Jan de Boer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ditlev Delmont in the 73rd minute of play. Jan de Boer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick Heesen, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goal looked a bit too open when Henk van Zwieten came free, but Georg Hagberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jan de Boer. Jan de Boer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Ágætis Byrjun made a substitution. Manolo Bartumeu replaced Joep Ponk. Georg Hagberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henk van Zwieten went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Jan de Boer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nick Heesen in the 91st minute. Manolo Bartumeu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan de Boer having to make a save. Jan de Boer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manolo Bartumeu in the 93rd minute of the match. Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
