In the 7th match minute, Landgraaf 07 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kazım Efe to maneuver through the defense. When Diego Sánchez came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Sheep United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Sánchez couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laurențiu Ciocan in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerwin Broerse prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gerwin Broerse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Ciocan in the 13th minute of the match. Gerwin Broerse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karsten Wijnands in the 17th minute of play. Taco Timmermans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Antonio Parra, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Sheep United's Gerwin Broerse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurențiu Ciocan in the 22nd minute of play. Gerwin Broerse was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Laurențiu Ciocan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Laurențiu Ciocan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The Landgraaf 07 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Taco Timmermans should have stopped the shot.
