Sampdoria's Bogumil Wieloch. Bogumil Wieloch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind U.C. Sampdoria's goalkeeper Bogumil Wieloch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frank Galli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 15 minutes into the match, U.C. Sampdoria's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Galli came free, but Bogumil Wieloch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arturo Avesani made in the 18th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Donato Cordone immediately put the ball in play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind U.C. Sampdoria's goalkeeper Bogumil Wieloch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Frank Galli sped through U.C. Sampdoria's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bogumil Wieloch. Bogumil Wieloch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Galli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Trento Calcio 1921 fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Trento Calcio 1921's Frank Galli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 30 minutes, Frank Galli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trento Calcio 1921's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Galli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Galli in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogumil Wieloch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mutlu Baykam made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Cristiano Piretti sent off a good shot on target. After 34 played minutes U.C. Sampdoria got a freekick which was hit by Ercole Di Mario. A collision led to U.C. Sampdoria getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ercole Di Mario hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Frank Galli made a precise shot to the right of Bogumil Wieloch. U.C. Sampdoria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristiano Piretti to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Frank Galli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trento Calcio 1921's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Galli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind U.C. Sampdoria's goalkeeper Bogumil Wieloch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. U.C. Sampdoria's Bogumil Wieloch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Galli in the 59th minute of play. After some careless play in the U.C. Sampdoria defense, Frank Galli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bogumil Wieloch. The U.C. Sampdoria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bogumil Wieloch should have stopped the shot. Frank Galli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind U.C. Sampdoria's goalkeeper Bogumil Wieloch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Donato Cordone could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Bogumil Wieloch however easily saved by the left post. Frank Galli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bogumil Wieloch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Galli, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Trento Calcio 1921's Frank Galli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bogumil Wieloch made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. Bogumil Wieloch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rik Hello in the 82nd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Adriano Mangione in the 83rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Trento Calcio 1921's Arturo Avesani. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Galli in the 84th minute of play forced U.C. Sampdoria's goalkeeper Bogumil Wieloch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Frank Galli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bogumil Wieloch was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. 87 minutes into the match, Trento Calcio 1921's Frank Galli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bogumil Wieloch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Frank Galli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bogumil Wieloch. U.C. Sampdoria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Galli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-11. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Galli got free with Bogumil Wieloch in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Frank Galli came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Trento Calcio 1921 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Galli couldn't finish the play. The U.C. Sampdoria fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Trento Calcio 1921 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
