After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Torsten Sundin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nagykarácsony's supporters rose to their feet, but Torsten Sundin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Károly Balogh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Nagykarácsony's János Zarka got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 19th minute Szombathelyi HALADÁS were awarded a corner. Iza Keresztes went to the cornerflag to take it. Szombathelyi HALADÁS's Iza Keresztes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eulalio Gudesteo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eulalio Gudesteo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bánk Mónos in the 23rd minute of the match. Szombathelyi HALADÁS's Károly Balogh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torsten Sundin in the 25th minute of play.
