The attack was good, but when Kosmas Karastathis in the 10th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some careless play in the Nilvange defense, Kosmas Karastathis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Fouquart. The Nilvange fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Fouquart should have stopped the shot. Kosmas Karastathis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Nilvange's goal looked a bit too open when Frans Sundberg came free, but Gabriel Fouquart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Christian Gallo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Fouquart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kosmas Karastathis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 12-0 when Kosmas Karastathis sped through Nilvange's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gabriel Fouquart. Rouen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kosmas Karastathis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rouen fully deserved thier win.
