The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joe Camp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Hauguel, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Elegance Dijon's Dave Rinaldi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Hamard in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Nicolas Hamard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dave Rinaldi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Joe Camp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Minaud in the 20th minute. Joe Camp was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Christian Minaud capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christian Minaud really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. With a little luck, Cats and dogs's Joe Camp got control of the ball when Christian Minaud tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Joe Camp came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Elegance Dijon's Christian Minaud. But to his dismay, Christian Minaud quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Hauguel in the 89th minute of play forced Cats and dogs's goalkeeper Joe Camp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cats and dogs's Nicolas Hamard got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Minaud in the 96th minute of play forced Cats and dogs's goalkeeper Joe Camp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elegance Dijon walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
